To all our contributors on the Eastern seaboard of North America, God be with you tonight. As a man who has lived through a few storms at sea and a hurricane in Cuba I know only too well the feeling when you are praying that the next wave/gust of wind is not going to be the last.

i was here at the same location for the big one on NOVEMBER 23 1950
hope i do not have to shovel to much snow
the problem here is going to be the floods
as i am located near the OHIO RIVER that drains most of western Pennsylvania .West Virginia and south eastern OHIO
it flows off to the south east New Orleans may get way toooo much water again

as of 530 pm local time TUESDAY .. i have not been in too bad of weather
the winds not to bad all the amateur radio antennas still up and work
and the snow seems to be about 40 miles away in any direction
the Ohio River makes some turns through a string of small hills and turns north in this area
it seems to have the effect of pushing the bad stuff north and south of us as the wind is from the west
most of the time since 1969 i have rode bikes about 15 of those years all year with out getting the chains out of the tool
box yes tire chains for the rear wheel but only on bmw /2 from 55 to 69 models
drove school bus today no buses in my county needed chains
doing ok so far
just hope the ARK does not leak when it all melts

where i live we came out ok
but part of the state about 100 miles east of me got hammered
and we are not seeing any major flooding it all or most of it fell east of the divide in the mountains
and is flowing into the Atlantic ocean
could ride here at any time if you wanted to put on the rain gear and cold weather gear
so we got lucky
off on tue for the national election
and may take the rt125 for a ride if it warms up a bit
and i am working on the solar panels i got to power all the junk in the amateur radio room
that is running up the electric bill like this computer i am using
made sure i got the system big enough to power the work lights in the
motorcycle work area can't leave the bikes out can i ....
