MZ Skorpion Replica for sale in the UK

Hi All,

Looking to sell my genuine 1996 Skorpion Replica, imported by myself in 2000 from Germany, totally unmodifed, with just 6800 km from new on the clock. Overall it is in great original condition with some age related marks (some laquer peel on the marchesini wheels, analogue clock missing) (this was made in 1996 please dont forget)

Looking for sensible offers on what is a very rare bike in the UK

Not sure - never really looked - I bought it from a dealer in East Germany - there is a tag on the left hand side of the headstock ( as you sit on the bike) indicating it is a skorpion replica 660, but I dont know which number on the tag is the unique ltd edition number - perhaps you can indicate where it is or can you send a photo of your tag? I assume MZ could tell me from the chassis number - assuming they keep the records

Good Evening Gary,

The Replicas have a small metal badge glued to the top of the triple clamp with a number between 1 and about 200. I purchased my Replica as a rolling race bike chassie and spent 3 years slowly rebuilding it to stock. My badge was missing also but I was able to get the factory to provide a set and had the number (a guess) added locally.

When I visited the MZ factory in Septemmber of 2011 asked question about the numbering and if there was any system or way to relate the Replice badge to year or Vin number but from what I got they never recorded or lost the info . Since they went in recivership last year I not sure we'll ever know.
