looking back on it afterwards it wasn't as bad as it first looked and a good way to get to know the bike. Found a few bits of rust on cables etc that i was able to fix before they got worse.
After taking the airbox off ,slackening the two jubilee clips to the inlet manifolds and removing three breathers to the airbox i was crapping myself that i was going to break an injector.
