I Love my New Tires

Postby Brian » Fri Apr 30, 2004 3:11 pm

Finally got the MT 60's off (which I loved by the way) and Installed the NEW Pirelli Diablos, If you remember me whining about the nervousness of the front end past 70 mph (120 Kph's) Well, not only do these new tires stick like shit to a blanket and heat up quickly, but the front end feels like the bike is on rails !!!! The sweepers goin down I-5 at 70 made me pucker, shifting my weight where neede etc. Now the same sweepers I can take at 85-90 easy.... an exit I used to run at 60 now is 70-75. The rolling resistance I thought would be a slight difference but when doin 70 mph rollons I hit triple digits with ease ??? Bike rides smoother less vibration. The two downsides are no dirt riding (never did anyways) and the bike does feel painted lines now and cracks etc at hwy speeds. Before I had the nervous front end thats all I'd feel. So I don't mind the latter. I don't know about other brands but I loooooove these! Now its gonna take very severe lean angles to say bye bye to 1/2" chicken strips !!!
