Greate!!!!! :D
Headligh is the same as for the Husqvarna/Husaberg to (cheaper here in Sweden) and a lot of other KTM and offroadbikes, the TTR 600 fits to (but is not H4).
The indicators are the same as some Husqvarna/Husaberg to, some mopeds have them to (then they get really cheap ;-) ).
Airfilter: KTM Duke 1 (DT1 RW 250-02) will fit ok.

Thanks 4 the greate efford, here in Sweden there is only one MZ-dealer (very good one, but far away - http://www.eurospeed.nu ) and You have to find some other bike with the same stuff on to be able to buy spare parts from the local dealer. This list is perfect for us! :D

I think that the rear breakdisk is the same as the "old" BMW 650 Funduro and the front one as the older Yamaha R6.

And off course the engine and the carb is the same as Yamaha XTZ660, so all XTZ-engineparts will fit...

Stock rear sprocket on the MZ 660 Baghira Forest (1999) = 45 tooth.

Don't forget to loosen the oilcap to before draining the oil ;-)
And then to put it on and tighten before starting the engine

Keep up the good work! :smt023

Edit:
andyw wrote:'Twin Air' filters for the MZ Mastiff, the part no you require is 154512
.......or as I did by luck find the same filter as listed for the KTM SC/Duke and Maico 98/03.
No-Toil air filter maintenance kit - aerosol bidegradable filter oil, filter grease and cleaning fluid (try MX shops  )

Look here to for interchangeable parts ;-) http://www.mzriders.com/viewtopic.php?t ... changeable

Thanks, Hoke. The original file is from a Finnish guy's website; when I find it, I'll forward the thanks to him. :-) (His website is interesting.)

It was originally the Enduro specs (wheelbase, seat height, etc.) but I took that out before I posted it, thinking that it is not that that we are interested in; the main thing is to have a good list of alternative parts.

If you can get part numbers... even better. :-)

Is that the part number?
Good, with that and the Twin Air number that andyw has given, I should find the UNI Filter number.

Hoke wrote:I think that the rear breakdisk is the same as the "old" BMW 650 Funduro and the front one as the older Yamaha R6.

We must get part numbers, or model years. I know that 2 people used R1 front discs but I didn't add it because I think the R1 / R6 discs have changed over the years.

Hoke wrote:And of course the engine and the carb is the same as Yamaha XTZ660, so all XTZ-engineparts will fit...

Yes.
Only problem with that - for me (and the americans, I think) is that I like to get parts from US vendors because the prices are lower, but their online microfiches do not have the 660 models. (Today I was looking for the intake valve cover gasket (and I found that it was an o-ring) so I could find it only by looking at the Raptor 660.)

Hoke wrote:Stock rear sprocket on the MZ 660 Baghira Forest (1999) = 45 tooth.

Yes, sorry about that, I'll fix it.

The R1 front disc I have on my Baggi is the early type, up to 2002 I think. Its also the same as the Yamaha Thunder Ace.
Indicators are also the same as fitted to some Triumphs and Ducatis. Front brake light switch same as some Aprillia's,
Most smaller o rings same as XT600,
Sprokets are the same as some model years of the XT600/TT600. I think you will find this on the site somewhere.

Thanks, Keith. I'll add the R1 disc -02. http://www.mrcycles.com has Yamaha microfiche.

Front brake light switch... that's a useful one, because they seem to be things that fail. I read somewhere that some Grimeca parts are the same as Brembo.

The indicators seem so common, and most people would probably replace with smaller ones. ...It doesn't seem worth trying to include them. I think the information in the thread is good enough.

The o-ring for the intake valve cover was $4-$5, way too much for an o-ring. Better to measure it and source it locally. I thought it was a gasket and that I'd rather have a couple of gaskets to use instead of messy Yamabond, but the o-rings will last for years.

I've just been trying to cross-reference Twin Air and Unifilter - including Uniflow / Unifilter Australia. Unifilter is hopeless and Unifilter Aus list doesn't correspond to Twin Air - the KTM LC4 models and years. Which means Twin Air get the MZ rider business. :)

The front brake light switch are the same as the KTM LC4:a, and one off the two most common universals -just take the old one with you to the dealer and compare. Almost any hydraulic brakelight switch will fitt the Baggys rear brakelight to... ;-)
Sorry, no numbers

ah! ok. There it is in this thread now. :-) What to do.

It sounds like they are the ones that are famous for being sh*t.

I was thinking about the tail light bulbs, that people say are blowing so much... maybe they're like the house light bulbs we get nowadays, made in China. :x

Yep I used the original bolts, the set up has been working well know for just about 20,000 kms :).
I also like the idea of a link that lists compatable part from alternitive sources.

JT Sprockets at denniskirk.com

Postby cat » Tue Apr 04, 2006 4:43 pm

Rear sprocket JT857.xx (where xx is number of teeth)

Listed at http://www.dennniskirk.com for Yamaha XT600

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=8110340S&store=Main&catId=415&productId=o81103&leafCatId=41508

If that doesn't work or you want to see what other parts are listed for XT600, set up bikes for yourself - Yamaha XT600 1995 and 1994, under both OFFROAD and METRIC bikes. (Their system is weird; I think the JT857 sprockets were listed for XT600 under METRIC but not under OFFROAD.)

Does anyone know what ignitionlock the Baghira have?
I can not read what is printed on mine after someone tried to take my bike.
On top it is printed ZADI (brand) and something like Q933?? I can only for shure read that one 9 is printed.
On the bottom it says ZADI PF385.

If it is Q933 it should be the same äs CCM 404.
The 933 (Aprillia Pegaso)/ KTM LC4 00- looks the same but have no "parkinglight" mode.

Does anyone now what the number is on the top of the lock?

Edit: In the usermanual it stand that it is Zadi Q933 :-D

I know this post is old but for reference, my '99 BMW F650 (same as an Aprilla Pegaso) has the same ignition lock printed with the same Q933 that is on my Baghira. And it does have the parklight mode which I absolutley hate :D

tried to download updated list, doesn't work, it opens up a IE window then hangs.

BTW, on the other interchange parts thread, (I forgot this one was around). I mentioned that I got http://www.flandersco.com to make me a set of clutch and throttle cables. They now have the templates to make up a set without the actual cables to duplicate. So you can just order them now from them.
