Saxon series front brake rebuild kit cross ref?

Postby 95SaxonTour » Sat Aug 29, 2009 10:25 pm

Does anyone know what common bike that this front
caliper is from. I need a rebuild kit and have a feeling
that MZ "borrowed" this front brake set up from some
other larger manufacturer. BMW possibly?

Thanks

Yes, the caliper is actually a Brembo item as used on BMWs, Moto Guzzis and others. I never measured the piston to see which size/type it was - an F08 or F09. The difference is 38 mm vs. 48 mm pistons. It's most likely the F08, not the much less common F09.

Here's a link to my Guzzi parts supplier with just about everything you could want:

And then there's TAW also: http://www.tawvehicle.com/brembo_F08_P108_parts.htm

Hope this helps.
