Sorry forgot to put that, yep the baghira, the 97cm long works but is a bit short, better for the slightly longer 105cm would be a better choice. .
two wheels good, four wheels bad. . . .

That's useful, I seem to remember that the OEM speedo cables often break. I see that fits a whole lot of Yamahas, so...an alternative for people not in the UK would be to get an Yamaha OEM cable for one of those bikes.

I upgraded my rear master cylinder on my 2003 Traveller with a GSXR unit from a 2000 750 model with little sweat... the year might be wrong, but I think it's right...got it from a yard, and it's a Brembo unit.

Much mobetter now, and cheaper as well.

GSXRs hit the yards at an alarming rate of speed, and sometimes literally.

yuk yuk

ahem... anyway, it works beautifully and thought I would share the info.

I've learned that the HEADLIGHT on a SKORPION TOUR is not the typical 7" round motorcycle light. I'm 97% sure that lights from Yamaha SR, SRX, Diversion etc do not fit. My Skorp Tour is a 2000 model and the light measures right at 7&1/4 inches across. My .02 cents.

So far, I know the engine is a Yamaha 660cc and all the normal service parts fit.
The front disc is a Yamaha R1/6 model -99 - are the calipers also from this bike?
The front mudguard is a KTM model, but I don't know which bike!
The Rear brake Cylinder is also a KTM but which model?

What about the clocks? Did someone say they were from a Husky?

It seems to me the only bit which you can only get from MZ is the frame!

If we all put down our words of wisdom, we could edit the whole thread at the end and create a document for easy reading - what do you think?

Radiator fan switch for Skorpions:
BWD TFS544

I bought one online from Advance Auto Parts.

Also look for a NAPA Echlin FS198, same part as the BWD.

Just installed and it works as it should.

This might help (download the attached html document.):
http://www.mzriders.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1370

The rear brake caliper... http://www.mzriders.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2109&start=0

There would probably be some Japanese bike calipers that would fit. Have you got the original one? I think the main thing would be the mounting holes on the caliper, then the distance/offset from the mounting to the disc... which can be adjusted with spacers/washers if it is less.

Hi, I know that the subject in heading is quite old but would anyone out there know whether the rear WP shock of a ktm640 lc4 is interchangable with the one for a 2002 Baghira Black Panther.

I know the forks are 300EXC vintage from late 90s early 2000s (at least that's the way Parts Unlimited has it..), so maybe a 640 shock from around that time frame might also work. sorry don't know for sure.
