MZ RT 125 (4T)

Right, getting a bit hacked off with this one.
When I got it was a skanking but with TLC it has improved but still won't idle.
Starts OK on the choke (new cable)
Won't rev initially on choke (OK can live with that)
Then will only start on half choke but will rev on the throttle but dies like a dead thing once the choke is knocked off.
Anyone any ideas - actually I am thinking that the logical place to start is with the mixture and throttle stop....

But any H&Ts or encouragement not to burn the bloody thing would be most welcome.

almost always my problem comes back to dirty fuel
when cold or very cold mine likes choke on and no throttle at all
if your slide is too high at rest it can cause starting problems because carb makes no vacuum to pull in fuel
through the very small jets
mine hates ethanol if there serving that where you are

inspect carb to engine rubber and is the 1 inch plug on the top of the intake rubber from air box still in place
drain for float bowl bottom front left corner screw is hard to see i always carry a screwdriver that fits
there are two of them in the bike ..i know better than to be without one
dave

take the time to sort it out ..had mine 12 years when it dies and can't be fixed
..you will be able to hear me crying in england
clean the fuel system good and a big fuel filter to act as a sediment bowl and check the float height
i can send carb manual page on request
