Heating up the bearings with an open flame is kind of "russian" mechanic....

The original bearings have plastic cages for the rollers.
They like to be burned :-)

I love my cousins in England but they are incredible hacks when it comes to things mechanical.
My eyes well up with tears when I see them get their hands on an MZ.

Okay that is an exaggeration for illustration but you get the point.

160 deg F in an oven works great when you have had the case in the freezer over night..
there just like a long lost family member
they usually just drop in to stay a while :smt023
