I'm going through this bike, and as it turns out, the gas tank is just a mess. I have de-rusted it, and gone through the whole sealing and lining process with a German kit called Fertan. Fingers crossed it will at least be a temporary thing. It's drying now, but I don't have very high hopes.
Is there any other tank, even from a different motorcycle that I could try to cobble up to work?
