Saxon country Cdi unit

Does anybody know what make the standard Cdi unit is on the country (been told it is a Nippon denso unit) but am not so sure...?

Im not sure but think the same unit used on some hondas,worth checking part number out with friendly dealer then buy s/h from breaker!Maybe try dave silver in uk (if its a Bit used by honda),you could always join the mz yahoo group,plenty of 500 owners on there,somebody may be able to help!

AM happy, its the same nippon denso unit as is on the 500 armstrong, really easy to circumvent when/if you have a flat battery, dissconnect the black and white wire from the cdi (not right at the Cdi unit but at the first connector) and it should start on the kickstart or bump start it, you wont have lights but it'll get you home...

I see this is an old post, but yes it is a Nippon Denso CDi, part number 070000-0780.
They are available, I beleive they are £180.
We make a replacement unit for £74.95 (price correct feb 12). The box is our p/n RTX, and has a one year warranty. Our units have a World wide reputation for quality and reliability.
