pirelli angel tyres and lithium battery suggestions

Postby Vultan » Thu Apr 02, 2020 3:21 pm

Hi I have a got tour skorpion tour and it came shod with prirrelli angels which look damn near brand new. Can anyone give me a rough idea of tyre pressures to start from they came inflated like rocks it felt like riding on marble tyres.
I have it starting reasonably reliably but the battery sounds tired with a very slow spin over I am thinking maybe get a lithium job in there any suggestions what this would be or at least amp hours?
Lastly I have changed oil and filters (that oil pipe nearly threw me I didn't take it off at first and wondered where all the oil was) did the plug, made an air filter and changed coolant is there anything else I should get on top off while I am isolated. The bloodly drain screw for the carbs is well rounded as well why do carb manufactures always make their fasteners from monkey metal?
Thanks
Alex

Might I recommend checking how old they are: some barely used tyres can look good but be hard and past their best.

MuZ Skorpion Tour, ETZ 300 or two (one with a sidecar - really insane mode of transport), a couple of TS125s, ETZ 125, BMW R100S and an Enfield Interceptor for daily use.
(some of them work too).

Following a biased and flawed moderator choice (someone posting aggressive personal attacks is rewarded, while my technical posts are removed - behind my back & without any justification!), I have withdrawn from this forum.

Had to pop to the chemist today, much better with the lower pressures thanks all.

Oh yes, necessary travel is still allowed, on any (legal) vehicle. Needed some fuel for the lawn mower, in the end had to ride 140km to find it. These filling stations are really hard to find here.
