I snapped the "coarse oil filter plug"

Postby elric762 » Sat Oct 08, 2005 8:54 pm

I was doing my first oil change on my '01 Baghira (I recently picked it up as a left over). Following the manual, I went to tighten the coarse oil filter plug (#3 in the manual) to the specifies torque of 30 Nm, and it snapped in half!?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Any dealers out there who can help me get a new one?

Cheers

Try BSA Regal in the UK. I would wager that they will have this item in stock. They will also post world wide.

FYI:

This is an exclusive MZ part.

Part # 9013333000

The two washers that are used with this are #9632328000

I want to say thank you to Philp at as BSA Regal in the UK. I ordered the part on Monday, and received in the U.S. today. Can't beat that.

I also ordered a second one from Galen at Bikeworx (just to be safe). Also a good place to do business with.

So if someone needs one ASAP, let me know.
