Brake light problem.

Postby breakwellmz » Tue Dec 14, 2021 5:28 pm

I noticed today that my brake light stays on when i put the lights on but with the lights switched off the brake light works fine from either brake, what`s the issue here?

some thing is wired up that that's extra or back feeding it

i have a feeling it is so simple it is stupid or will drive you nuts finding it

switch on the front or rear hydraulic master cylinders is sticking

or the pressure is not releasing when brake is not applied caused by one unit not adjusted proper

do tell me when you find what is the cause

I wonder if both illumination and brake are wired to the 21w application of the bulb?

Take the bulb out? It may even be in backwards, if that's so possible... (?)

It's my life's ambition to be like a broken brake light.......no sign of slowing down! Sorry, that probably didn't help! Hope you get it sorted.

Bad earth connections can cause all sorts of weird things to happen with lights. Try checking the earth continuity. Worth a try.
Riding it is much more fun than polishing it.
