When did they change the tripple clamps?

Just curious really -
I've noticed that most pictures of Baghiras/ Mastiffs show them fitted with cast tripple clamps, with one bolt each side for the top clamp & two each side for the bottom clamp.

My 1998 Mastiff has what look like CNC machined tripple clamps with two bolts each side top & bottom.

When did they change??

Could be aftermarket clamps?

Nope - I bought it new in 1998!

I think they must have changed them soon after, probably to reduce production costs. I just wondered when the change happened...
