ground clearance

i have trouble with the clearance of my mastiff, annyone got a solution? or the same problems?? i keep scratching my steppy's while i would like to go even deeper.

are you leaning over till the foot pegs drag ??

if so take the bike and lean it over that far and see just how far its leaned
over and how much tire you still have in contact with the road
if you think it will lean farther put on rear set pegs
and some frame sliders and a very good riding suit
because they dont make Gorilla Glue (tm) for this application

ps also order some new plastic because YOUR GOING TO FALL DOWN

i allreddy slided 1 time on the brace of the foot peg, it bendet upwards en i kept on leaning in the corner, i have about 3/4 ich left on my rear tire and on the left i scrape the footpeg and right side i one time drove the frame to the ground, i slided half a meter and whas lucky to get it on his wheels again. maybe it would help to instal stronger rear spring??? i'm about 95 kg so that's nog positif fore ground clearance

Is your bike the 'lowered' version?

If it is, you could try fitting the longer travel susspension and get stiffer springs.

I have a Mastiff which has the lower suspension, and I fitted some new links ('dogbones') to the rear suspension which raised the back end a little.

Maybe that would help some?

Have you set the static sag to suit you 95Kg weight ? It could be that you have already used too high a proportion of the available suspension travel just by sitting on the bike, before you have even started loading up the suspension when cornering. If you have an HR you cant do much with the front without changing springs etc but you could still do the rear. Type in "static sag" to google and you get loads of hits about setting it up.

To be honest, I havent done this on my bike because it felt right from day one so cant give you any guideline as what to aim for but I think I have seen Phlat post his setting elsewhere on this site.

i turned up the rear suspention so much that the bike does not even sags if i'm not on it!! and still, i scrape footpegs, brake, shifter and frame left and right on the left it is the sidestand wich is allready a couple mm shorter :) i'm thinking of goiing to a suspention specialist, would this be wurth the money? the ask 250 euro to renew the suspention and adjust it to my weith

The problem you have is that the front suspension is lower than the Baghiras, Baghira=116mm ride height, Mastiff=110mm ride height. By lifting the rear you are pushing more weight onto the front end and causing the bike to squat in corners thus allowing the pegs to drag. You will need to aquire some Baghira adjustable front forks, this will give you the front end lift to match the rear. A stiffer spring will resist squatting the shock and help with rear grip but it won't cure your problem unless you match the front end! :D
