Troy,

I see you've also gone for the commando-style exhaust wrap. I originally did it because of header clearance problems, but after a bit of black silicone paint, I think it's the best looking part of my bike:

BTW, sweet lift. I wish I had me one of them.

I can certianly agree about the KTM!! But the Hayabusa is a really great ride if you are looking for a long-distance touring bike. Here in Germany, there are still a few places where you can legally open her up... That is not the point tho; once moving, you can just forget shifting; elastic, forgiving (tho not of a unsubtle right wrist!) great brakes. fantastic bike on the expressway or for xhundred miles at a time. Quiet, virtually no maintenance, runs on cheapest pump gas (over here at least but then 95oct is the cheapest over here).
I had one, I am biased...

a different trio, here still in the old shop before moving

BTW
The two B&W shots farther up show Mirko's Skorpion. He has TZ250 wheels mounted and a WP fork from a Replica but the bike started life as a mundane Sport. I rebuilt the engine (my usual stuff) which also has an ex-works short ratio cluster. And those are Barker headers. here is another picture of that bike
Image

this is another sport, gone naked, with those TZR 125 wheels (3,5" rear with 130/70 tire) I put in as well as my Remus cup system I sold him and my CNC milled rear sets I gave him a year or two ago.
Image
This winter, the engine gets some more work. It already has a Bikeworx kit with TM40 flatslide.
Image
OEM airbox gutted, leaving sides, bottom to hide the flatslide from prying eyes and the battery tray.
Tho it can't be seen here, he also has one of those Acewell instruments I mentioned and very happy with it. He has it mounted in that two-stroke MZ headlight he has fit.

in case anyone is interested, I updated my blog today after far too long.
Since I have retired my Skorpion for the time being, it is mostly about SZRs.
I do go into a Skorpion, tho, as well.

BTW, I have sold both of my veterans, leaving me with only the Yamaha SZR as a licensed road vehicle and even that one has not been ridden much this year. I did go to Austria two weeks ago with it to look at a grand piano to restore - I got the contract.

No, this year I have been back on my bicycles, if possible every day -mostly in fact with the fixed gear track bike - and back into real training.
Now looking into a road bike for the winter, one that is not too good for that and can be fit with fenders. a cyclocross bike would be best.

Good to hear I'm not the only one who enjoys cycling, even though it's only 6 miles to and from work on my Dawes Galaxy every day.
Hope to have my little RT125 back on the road in a few weeks time so I can give my legs a rest.

David.

i think you both will like it
it has a driveshaft to the rear wheel with 7 speed transmission
no funny shifting or jammed up chain works very nice
