Has anyone had a problem getting a spare key made. My bike only came with one and I went to Lowes and Walmart and neither could copy it. Does anyone know what blank works if any at all and or where you had luck getting an extra?

Did a little additional research on the key thing (hope this is the last post on it). Here's an interchange on the different bikes that use the same key as the Baghira/Mastiff. You can either source a key blank through a brand dealership or use the Ilco blank #X270-TCM1 via this list. This is just for information I got off the Ilco website. Paul

Hells teeth! This place is an absolute mine of information, isn't it? :-D

Right, I'm off tomorrow morning to see the village lock-peasant and see if the varlet can manage to manufacture me a spare set also.

Brilliant stuff!!

I had a spare key cut here in the UK, it's a fairly common type so had no problem, I will try to find out what blank type it is and if it's still a problem I can probably send you out one.

Here in the UK it's very easy to get spare keys cut. We can get them in high street keycutters (Timpson, Mister Minit, etc) by asking for a 'Silca ZD16RP'. These are fairly common on other European motorcycles, so it might be worth asking in dealers for these. Silca keys are made in Italy, so I assume the blanks are fairly readily available throughout Europe.
While we're on the subject, spare keys for the Hepco & Becker luggage used by MZ are available as 'Silca LS13'. These are plain metal keys (no plastic handles), but are a lot cheaper than H&B keys.
