Anyone ever had a faulty rear banjo brake switch ?

Can it be repaired ?

What is the spec of a new one ?

Get the brembo replacement switch...the stock switch seems to fail very regularly.

The rear brake light switch is the same as BMW F650 -93 to 97 -M10-1mm thread.

needs to be a good quality switch
my rt125 has killed 3 of them the ori unit , one from an atk dealer and an aprilia
got tired of the brake bleeding every time and did it with a old fashion mechanical switch

put in a banjo bolt from a ktm and now i don't have to bleed the brakes every time it fowls up

replaced the banjo brake switch, but had trouble bleeding the brakes, as the Bleed nipple was seized.... managed to get a mate to free it for me by warming it up....

Problem i got now, is the master cylinder seems to be leaking, does anyone know what seals i need for the master cylinder ?

Need this sorted pretty quick as going to isle of man tt next week....

It is simply put: shit.
Since it is a Brembo clone of miserable quality, a Brembo seal kit should probably fit.
Replace it with a Brembo pump.

sorted the seal out.. fited them yesterday. also fitted new bleed nipple... put one of the seal in backwards first. and could not get any pressure.. think i got it sorted now, need to test ride it today....

For future reference which particular pump do you recommend? I'd like to fit a Brembo pump (rear) that will work with the Gilles rearsets you supplied. May as well do it now while the bike is off the road.
Also, will the standard switch (or a better replacement) for the Grimeca fit a Brembo rear pump or is the thread different?

any of the 11 or 13mm Brembo pumps will fit. The all have the 40mm hole pattern. So any italian bike and lot of others as well

black or gold, on this page there is an extensive list of bikes utilizing the 11mm pump.
or perhaps better a PS13C. Looks the same and costs the same new but being of larger diameter, the mechanical advantage is poorer and so the rear brake doesn't bite as much which is much safer and easier to ride fast.
Banjo are as always with Brembo standard M10x1 and not the Japanese M10x1,25.
I think I have a used black pump (11 or 13?) in the Brembo bin. If you want, I can have a look.
