Truth or BS? Rear Wheel Swap

I'm going for a vintage cafe racer look with my Skorpion and was wondering if anyone has ever tried to put spoked wheels on one. I know of some seriously modified XR650R's that run them for motard racing so I know they are strong and lightweight if you go with high quality stuff. The tech that I was speaking with today said he pays about $1400 for a pair of them. That seems reasonable but I'd be lost as far as which models to look at for compatibility. Maybe when my friend gets his new wheels in for his XR, I can talk him into letting me come over and compare them with my stock wheels.

Perhaps Baghira supermoto wheels; I hear they fit with few if any mods. If I ever find enduro wheels for my Baghira I intend to try the SuMo wheels on my Skorpion.
