So looking at those without models gives us ...

1500 taxed and another 1900 on sorn. But how many of those are Skorpions and how many are 2 strokes or Baggies etc ... no idea.

Looked at my logbook and it says dacia as the make dont know what that is about i expected MZ.

Dark green Tour in West Yorks. Haven't seen any others round here. Had the bike for a year, has 90,000 km but runs like a train. Does anyone else find the suspension a bit stiff? Might be because this is the most modern bike I've ever had and suspension has changed since I were a lad.

My 96 Black Sport in North Lincs too..........also registered as an MZ but no mention of Skorpion. Suspension is very firm on mine too, but not that that causes any problems. Mine does seem rather high though so must investigate normal rear height, it seems to have a non standard rear suspension unit. I find myself getting on with it leaning over on the sidestand only  I'm far from short at 5'10" so wonder if it's higher than it should be. My FJ1200 is much lower???? Anyone else find that too :?

depending on which shoes or boots i have on...

i find the rt 125 is a bit tall

my 2 major complaints about bikes is there to tall

and i never had one that had a stock battery big enough to get it started in winter

Dave

Looks like a bit of spannering has taken place with you two as I'm only 5"6 and my sport fits like a glove with both feet down!!!

Think that's right, just need to find another to compare height with  or length of standard rear suspension unit as mine is definitely non-original. :?

MZ made different length rear suspension link rods to alter the ride height for the Skorpion.

Standard 135mm (Hole Centre's).

Raised 127mm.

Height Reduced 142mm

Standard to me is just right 31'' inside leg, :D the raised quite high and the bike leans to much on the side stand.

If your bike was first owned by a Graham G, it is well known in the MZRC, If you would like to talk to other Skorpion owners we meet at The March, Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, on the second Sunday every month, you will be made most welcome.

Regarding the stiff suspension have you greased the rear lower linkage as these tend to seize if not checked, and the large ball bearing is £60 from Grahams,

Get it here.

Many Thanks for the info :D , and mine is ......135 standard :? hmm I'm 30.5" so I should fit. Mine does lean over a lot on the sidestand though. The rear susp unit is labelled Gas filled adjustable, red spring and refers to Honda dealer so I'm guessing it's from a Honda? Wonder if spring is too strong, having said all that it handles really well so maybe I should just put up with it.

Anyway mustn't hijack this so, heard last week of a Sport being recently sold in Hull. :D

Yes it was owned by Graham. He looked after it very well. I'm trying to live up to his standards. :?
