My tour in Northern Ireland is the only one I've seen recently. Currently Sorned (got an R1 and R1150GS to tool about on) Carb off at the moment to clean it (some stringy deposits in the plastic tank from sitting with old fuel) and making up a washable air filter with foam replacing the old paper element in a standard filter. Still looking for a resonable brake master cylinder which with hold the wing mirror and take an adjustable lever!

Mzokk - I know of a Sport owner in Co. Down, and I spoke to a Tour owner a few years ago at a rally in Co. Fermanagh, so you're not alone!

Hi george2, that's interesting a Skorpion on a 61 plate. I wonder if it's similar to one a friend of mine bought on an 11 plate. He had problems with all the rubbers being perished which all got replaced by Appleyards in keighley Yamaha dealers. Trouble was it was a bit here and a bit there as things broke down time after time and he then sold it only after 6 months as it didn't press his buttons any more after that. I worked out that his 'new' 11 plate bike was older than my 97 sport!!
Eric

Yip i think it has only happened since they put 5% ethanol in the fuel. I think the tank is made by acerbis and they have had a few issues. I've had to change the impulse lines on my old Stihl chainsaw (which isn't used much either) for the same reason.

Hi Tigcraft.Yes i got my scorpion from Bridge Moto Reading. They import machines in containers from Japanese auctions. So far all ok,only light use, breaking her in gently. My Baggie gets plenty hammer, after 3 years i still have a big grin on my chops after each ride.

Hi Tigcraft,2 different rides to be sure. The Scorpion is a more smooth and polished ride, the Baggie is more of an animal but keeps you away from the law.In the past i have had Fireblades, gsxrs, firestorms all good machines. I just enjoy the 2 Mz bikes for what they are,any bike meets that i go to always draw people with much more fancy machines. They always have a chat and a look round the Mzs.These 2 bikes in my opinion tick many boxes When you have had one you will all know what i mean. For me it has to be the Baggie every time, scorpion is for the nice gentle sunday potter.
