It's a street legal track bike, so comfort wasn't in the equation, although I have ridden it for an hour and a half one way. The only problem for me, even being as large as I am, was a weird cramp like pain in my hip, that could only be resolved by sticking my leg out straight. The part that contacts the seat actually wasn't too bad with the extra thick race foam.

Wheels are in the mail. :D Now I just need to figure out if I want to have them media blasted or try my hand at stripping powder coat. From what I'm reading, the only thing that will do the job is now considered extremely hazardous to your health, even though you can still buy it in almost any hardware store in the USA. Why are we the last place on Earth to ban sh!t that will kill you? LMAO

Wheels are in the shop for new bearings, tires and a face lift. I'm waiting on samples for the color but I told him to shoot for a fresh from factory look.

Both rims are done now. :D

The rear got dropped by the powder coaters but they sent it to a pro for straightening. The tech at that shop said it was one of the smallest flat spots he's ever had to fix so I'm not too upset about it. :|

There is no direct bolt on wheel swap that I know of. They all take specially machined parts and/or alternate parts to make work. The Brembo's from the SZR had been done before and came recommended due to their light weight, so I picked up a set when I found them online. Now I just need to find the right caliper carrier for the rear and I'll be ready to start fitting things in place.

Instead of an original SZR caliper hanger maybe this is compatible:

It's a Ducati 620 monster part. Caliper is the same and dimensions seem to be close. Worth a visit to your local used parts guy?

Looks like Ducati has all kinds of hangers and carriers that look very similar. I just picked up one for $11 plus shipping and we'll see how it works. Thanks. I might ask you for some measurements in the future.

I thought I lucked out and found the right Ducati bracket but there's too much offset in both of the ones I picked up to be compatible with the Skorpion.

Hajok, any chance you could measure the offset between the plane where the caliper bolts to the bracket and the plane where the wheel spacer meets the bracket? From the pic you sent, they look almost even with each other. Thanks.

I missed your post completely; sorry for the delay!

The offset is 11mm. The wheel side of the flange at the axle (where it meets the wheel spacer) is exactly in the same plane as the backside of the caliper bracket. The thickness of the bracket at the caliper is 11mm; therefore the offset from the caliper plane to the wheel spacer is this distance. The hanger width at the axle is around 25mm (hard to measure exactly). The hanger curves around the disc bolts about 6mm.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Since I realized that the caliper bolts to the outside of the bracket, unlike the original equipment, I've determined that the Ducati bracket could be made to work. My problem now is the diameter of the rotor. Evidently the SZR disc is smaller than both the Ducati and the MZ discs. Looks like I'm either going to have to wait on an SZR bracket to show up on Ebay or I'm going to have to come up with a custom built or universal type bracket. I've even offered finder's fees to a few bike breakers in Europe and still haven't heard anything.

Mind you that the SZR takes the chassis from the TZR. I don't know the exact model but there are several on ebay:
