Depends on carb
Most have a fitting thats made of brass that screws in ..
It is more of an enrichment valve than a choke..
Its surface is rubber covered and can cause problems .also the brass valve gets dirty and sticks

When removed from carb it is spring loaded and comes off the cable
Watch how its put together its several small parts

If memory serves me correctly, there is a rubber boot that slides back to expose a brass hex shaped fitting. Unscrew that fitting and the assembly comes out. I replaced my stock unit with the XT600 plunger style, no cable. :)

This part number is the whole assembly. Just pull your old cable and mechanism and screw in this one. 2KF-14371-01-00
