Baggie rear fender eliminator ideas ?

Postby STANIMAL » Wed Mar 12, 2014 11:49 am

I noticed there is a small frame supporting that ridicules rear fender . I am thinking of cutting it back and replacing the rear fender with integrated signals or finding a tail light with integrated signals . Have any of you done this or any thing similar ?

There was a thread a while back about this, I bourght one of the units in the first link, they are crap, it is too small and the angle is all wrong for the number plate. I think the best solution is to remove the fender, make a suitably shaped aluminium plate and fix it to the existing frame, this will allow the light, indicators and number plateto be moved up higher under the rear of the bike, there are a couple of bikes in the gallery pics that have done this, I think handsomejacks bike had this done, pics halfway down page 3 of the for sale section.
