Upload quota reached?

Postby edfmaniac » Tue Apr 01, 2014 7:52 am

I just received a message after trying to post an attachment that the "site upload quota has been reached". I'm assuming that's my personal upload quota. Do I need to go through my uploads deleting the less important files so that I can upload in the future?

It's easy to bung your data onto a server other than this one (most internet accounts over here in the UK come with a least a cupful of free webspace) and just point to it in this forums messaging window using the tools provided ............

For example:

Heres the URL of an old pic of my Tour hosted on my ISP's servers ..........

http://www.craske.myzen.co.uk/Skorpion/ ... rp-sml.jpg

To embed the pic into the forum, use the embed codes (The IMG button) like this to put fore and aft of the URL ....

[im g]http://www.craske.myzen.co.uk/Skorpion/images/BlkSkorp-sml.jpg[/im g]

(Note that I've put extra spaces into the IMG code to give it indigestion, and stop it producing a picture - all so you can see the code.

The result is this:

Does posting via the likes of photobucket use forum space? I'm pretty dinosaur about this kinda stuff.

if its just pictures OK but something important like a Substitute part or a how to fix something
is best stored here...
pdf parts books and the like need a copy here and also a backup on some ones hard drive

a picture of your bike in your front yard needs the meta data checked
cell phones and some new cameras leave a gps location embedded in the picture properties file
and any one in the know can find x marks the spot as to where you parked it when the picture was taken
this needs edited out of online posted pictures
posters beware smart thieves know where you park it if you took the pic with a cell phone
dave

check this youtube video do set thru the adv the video is a wake up to a real problem
