Is this the brace on a Baggie? When I cut mine out to fit the Mikuni, it was around 1/4" thick, and about 4" long.

Its a Skorpion - and yours got in the way of a carb ? I doubt this one will get in the way of the carb, the head on the skorp bolts to it.

The round brace that runs right ahead of your knee - that's the brace I'm talking about - on the main frame.

Cool.

Bill j has a discussion on his old blog on cutting out that brace to give better engine access. He thought it was redundant

I've read that ... I wont say its redundant. Its not required for the frame is my thought.
The tank rides on it to fit in the lip on the frame. I will put it back and it will be removable when I need to.
Cool.
