This speedo works with the mastiff 660

Postby Zephyr126 » Wed May 14, 2014 4:46 pm

Hi there I was in need of a new speedo for my Mastiff 660 and in my research came across the Yamaha Virago 750 .
They are the exact same speedo but obviously not with the mz logo.
I fitted one on to my mastiff with no problems because it's got the same fittings and spec.
Hope that helps other Mastiff owners out there

I haven't been able to find a decent pic of the clock faces but they look like the same clocks I have on my Virago. They were standard on all 750, 1000 (except TR1) and 1100 models post 1984.
His - 1995 Yamaha XV750, 21 000 miles.
Hers - 1994 MZ Scorpion Sport - 40 000 miles.

The same generation of of clocks are used on numerous different Japanese bikes although calibrated to there end usage.
If anybody needs new chrome covers and bezels for the mastiff or certain skorpions, Suzuki Bandit 1200 Mk1 use the same parts and way cheaper and more readily available!
