Parts for my Skorpion Sport?

Postby Thump660 » Wed Jul 16, 2014 6:06 am

Hi all,

I'm new on this forum, and hope someone can guide me in the right direction...

I need a few things to restore my beloved Skorpion.

I'm looking for a headlamp, mine is all grey now...
I need a tail lamp, preferably onewith a metal base, since they breaks quite quickly in the base...
I also need a new pillion seat... The base of mine is now so worn that the seat falls off the bike...

Does any one know if there's possible to obtain these things?

From Norway with regards
Frode

There is a brand new pillion seat on ebay motors in the U.S.:

Welcome to the forum. Tell us about your Skorpion!

Thanks :D I'll look into it ASAP!

I'll see if I can make a presentation of the bike with some pics in a few days, but short story..
It's a -95 Skorpion Sport, Yellow. I'm the original owner...
It's more or less original. I have a Holesot muffler from Dale Walker Performace(competition edition, it's LOUD) and a jet kit from him as well. And i use a K&N airfilter. It runs far smoother and with a vastly improved throttle respons compared to the original set up.

I'm using it mainly as for commuting these days. It's the best way to start the day, but it wears down the bike a bit, so now it's time for some TLC for the Skorpion. And to get some good head-/tail lights on it to prepare for the dark autum time. I drives mc until the snow starts to fall, i.e November/December... even thoug the temp fall to -10 deg C(14 deg F) most of the days in December...

I have seen a headlamp on the US ebay site as well, not there right now but will likely be posted again. There is a dealer in the UK that has some parts, could not find the name though.

If you have no other alternative, I have a new headlamp on the shelf. It's part of my Traveller spares hoard, though! I also have the one from the parts bike, but I would have to look at it...might not be very nice. Very few parts on that wreck have turned out to be useable.

Still chasing parts mate?

I'm well into a full custom rebuild and have a heap of parts for a Skorpion Tour (except headlight, gauges, frame, swingarm, wheels, engine and front end)

Let me know if I can be of any help.

PS, haven't got the subframe any more because I chopped it too far then had to remake it. Oops.

Cheers, Jeff.
