Skorpion replacement clocks

Postby Andy_C » Thu Nov 20, 2014 4:06 pm

Speedo just about works, tacho just swings about wildly.

I gather that "they all do that sir" and that they are not that reliable / long lived.

Soooo - are there any clocks that can be just lifted off an alternative bike and fitted straight in ?

Failing that I gather that you can fit the XT660 mechanical tacho drive & clock but don't know of any alternative speedos.

Anyone any ideas / recommendations - must be something out there that can be fitted.

Cheers.

Speedos aren't a problem, have you checked for the obvious like a dry cable or drive?

Tachos are poor, I cover mine on my traveller with route sheets when I'm on tour so it doesn't bother me, although there is meant to be a Yamaha one that fits from one of their big V twins. It's not needed though, the rev limiter kicks in before you'll do any damage.
