Postby roughridnsob » Sun Dec 07, 2014 1:55 pm

In the process of removing the carbs to clean them I noticed these tubes not attached to anything, I am new to MZ life and cant find anything to help me online. If anyone can take pictures of their bike that shows where these go or just tell me it would be much appriciated bike is a 2000 MZ Baghira stock carbs.

My guess is carburettor breathers.

My Guzzi had four 18" tubes leading nowhere from the connections on the upper faces of the carburettor float-bowl casting, as in your first picture.

There appears to be a 'T' connection missing. I cannot say what the gizmo is, so that is something for the other forum members to elucidate on.

Nothing to worry about, unless your local law enforcement are really difficult.

i think the last pic above is a vent valve that is electrically operated
it is missing on most bikes and i have not seen it on any wiring drawings
but the plug appears to be on my traveller not plugged into any thing
its tie wrapped on to bike
