Stator part # or coss reference?

Postby GTCarlos » Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:40 pm

I posted this to the Mechanical Discussion list. I'm not sure which list is appropriate. Sorry for the duplication.

Hi All,

I've had no luck in finding a new stator for my '98 Skorpion Traveler. The dealer won't cross reference it or even sell me a part for my bike as the model was never sold in the USA. (I'd rather pay aftermarket prices anyway). Does anyone have a Yamaha part # for the stator? Better yet a substitute part so I can order an aftermarket one for a Rhino, XTZ, Raptor etc.

Thanks.

Looks like it's the same as a lot of bikes, in particular the SZR 660, which makes sense. They call it a "Scorpion 600", but no such an animal existed, I'm sure they got the name/model wrong.

The XT600E is the model you are looking for. The left side of the crank case is identical to our motors.
