660 service - how to?

Hi,
I could be going nuts but I can't find a full how-to on servicing a 660 (mines a Mastiff). Oil change is the immediate priority. I'd swear I've read one here before but I can't find it!

I did find some good info in a thread 'Oil Filter' - OP was Matty. It gives an explanation although I wasn't familiar with all the terms/bike parts. I'm hoping there's a how-to with some pictures or diagrams to help dim folk like me!

I'm also looking for advice on the right oil. There seems to be different opinions but guessing that's a lot to do with location and climate. I'm in sunny Scotland!

Enclosed some files, one of which contains the oil change info.

Oil wise? Well I've tried full sythn and I felt it made the engine more rattley, back to 10w40 semi.

Changing every 3-4k its not worth it going for synth.

Neat!
Is there anything like that available for the Skorpion? I've found Graham's parts diagrams which are somewhat useful and I have the Skorpion handbook but more of a manual would be great.

I'm afraid you are SOL on a bike service manual. There is an engine service manual pdf on the net (fair quality) from Yamaha. Sorry, I can't point you to it, but I found it somehow.. :D

Thanks, I've got that. Trouble is, the engine is the least likely part I'd need to fix. It's here if anyone else wants it. :-

Fortunately, the rest of the bike is bucket of hammers simple. I've completely gone through the Commie Thumper, now, and didn't find anything that isn't straight forward.
