Skorpion Sport on long trips

Winter is coming, but it doesn't hurt to dream of warmer times. Has anyone taken the Skorpion Sport on long trips? I wonder if you could share notes (or pics) on luggage arrangement. But more importantly, did you do anything to make the bike more comfortable?

The Sport's low handlebar makes its riding position quite aggressive, esp for someone like me who's 5'7". My wrists are already complaining. What can be done to make my position more upright? I understand that the windshield bars make things tricky.

What you can do is go to a personal trainer and build up your core strength and thigh muscles.
Seriously. Worked for me. There's a reason for those knee indents in the tank. If you are putting weight on the bars you need to suck it up and work out, youngster..

Go ride a dirt bike every weekend for a couple of months and you'll be good to go.

I went on an approx 400 mile round trip to the Belgium TT a couple of years ago on my Sport. The bike was comfortable enough on the ride, but my legs ached for a few days on my return! I used a tank bag which also fits my BMW R1100S, and modified a spare pillion pad for a Sport as a base to hold the mounting plate for a small top box. I had to squeeze my small tent between the box and the seat but found that it acted as a sort of back rest/support - it won't work for a larger backside!! Would I do it again? Yes, I would. See attached pictures

I was still a pup in my early 60s when I was having problems riding sport bikes. Tried a cruiser, and couldn't get off fast enough. Besides hating them, it hurt my lower back. Went to a personal trainer, and he said he could not only get me back on sport bikes, but back on a road bicycle instead of an upright cross trainer.
Checked me out, and said, "your core strength is terrible.." I thought I was in pretty good shape for an old fart. He about killed me for a while, but 10 years later, I still ride sport bikes. It was worth the pain..

I jumped on mine and did a 1000km weekend a few weeks ago. LOVED every minute of it! No mods to carry stuff although mine has been fitted for a pack rack but I took it off as they are bloody ugly! I just grabbed some stuff in a backpack and went. Bit of a sore bum if im being honest but a bit of the left cheek, right cheek game had that sorted.

In the past I did some serious cycling on road and mountainbikes. Maybe that's why I never experienced the MuZ Sport stance as uncomfortable. Nowadays I even lowered the clipons and think it's even better. As long as the roads are twisty the comfort is OK. Highway comfort is worse, but nothing changes the vibrations and the boredom @ 100 Mph on the straights ;-)

This picture is shot at 9:00 pm during a 450 Km / 5 hour trip to Cochem (germany). One of the most enjoyable rides I have ever had after a day at the office. The Givi bags contain all my stuff and sometimes even a lightweight camping kit (tent + matress + sleeping bag).

What is the product name / product line of these Givi bags on the Sport? I can not tell from the pics -- are they soft or hard saddlebags?

Hi WaiNYC,
These are universal soft expandable Givi Arrowbag T431 bags. The Velcro straps on top as short as possible and secured with elastic band to the rear and the pillion pegs. Worked for me. Can't find them new anymore on the net, probably the Givi "Easy range - EA101" comes closest.
