MZ/MuZ Riders

This weekend I experimented with a '06 Monster S4R carbon fender (mudguard at this side of the pond) instead of the original plastic skorpion piece. It is very much lighter (248 grams instead of 661 grams) but there is a certain... "je ne sais quoi" about the original fender. It is ugly but in the total design it is rather complementary.







The new fender is light and looks modern but does it enhance the looks? What's your opninion about altering the looks of our beloved bikes?

I like the original better on your bike. The colored fender really balances out the overall look.

Did you use the SZR 660 sprocket carrier or the 4FL carrier? After centering my wheel in the swing arm, it looks really tight on the sprocket side.

Yeah, the carbon fender lacks visual weight. Maybe I'll make a "carbon copy" of the original fender as the weight is an issue...

Ok. I was thinking about grinding off that very outer lip, but if it clears, and the rear sprocket lines up with the front sprocket, I'll leave it alone.

looks ok but in the blue color would be nice ..
if nothing else paint it blue and set it back on the shelf as a spare if it fits

this might be another option.

Suzuki front mud guard. GSF 600 I think. Our friend in Germany might be able to confirm.

Foe what it's worth, the Suzuki mudguard gets my vote.

Its the colour that comes to life not nesessary the guard so any one looks good but only if painted blue as I think the carbon look over wheels just look drab
