advice needed for a two part question.

1, fired up my `Mastiff` after the winter, all was fine except that the neutral lamp stayed on. checked the switch the was OK, thought Ill just run another wire from the switch to the dash lamp that will solve the problem. and while I`m at it I`ll change from filament bulb dash lamps to LEDs.

2, Fitted LED dash lamps, neutral lamp works as it should, pressed the starter NOTHING ! battery charged, tested starter solenoid straight from the battery and engine turns over as it should, and all the fuses look to be OK.
Any ideas what the problem might be ?
cheers Eric.

neutral lamp switch is part of the safety lock out and stops relay 30 on wiring drawing from supplying power to bike

thanks for the suggestions and the diagram, I should have said that, `the ` neutral light` stayed on with the bike in gear.` but, that the switch is working OK.
my second guess is that using LED replacements in the dashboard has somehow interfered with the diodes in the loom, I`ll go back to ordinary bulbs and try again.
Eric.

leds are diodes that emit light
putting in 2 diodes back to back can be useful in some cases
and cause confusion in others

and putting one in backwards can cause even more
