Hi.
Just noticed this afternoon after riding for half an hour this morning there was some dry whitish residue (which I stupidly wiped off) coming out of this hole (see pictures).




I Had a look at parts list but couldn't see anything about it. Is it meant to have something in it or is it a vent or what?

how about a water drain for the hole the spark plug sets down in
so the water does not drain onto the piston top when you take the plug out after a wash or storm..
i recommend a clean out with one of those things they call a pipe cleaner
and shine a bright lamp in it and see where it comes out

I`ve just had a look at my Skorpion, that`s the same too, so there`s a chance it`s supposed to be like that? But now you`ve got me wondering what it`s for? Maybe it`s a Yamaha thing, used for something to screw into on another model?? Dunno, but I`m certainly going to try and find out!?

Yep I think you are all right. It's a drain hole. It doesn't seem to go anywhere but I did wash the bike a few days earlier and I'm guessing it was dryish residue that came out from the ride. I don't remember leaning over that far though!

I pull the plug cap and hook up the shop vac...quick dab over the hole just to make sure nuttin is in there...
