Might anyone know the dimensions of the Grimeca rear master cylinder hydraulic brake light switch on a Mastif? I`ve got to replace mine and would like to do a straight one-off-one-on swap.
As a last resort i could buy one off Grahams i suppose.

Hi.

Thanks for that.
I recently had the same problem on my Gas Gas after i had stripped, rebuild and bled the system so replaced it with a mechanical one (I was selling it on)That one was ten years old as well!
I know some use a 1mm pitch thread and others 1.5mm, perhaps i should just order one from Grahams.

I recently ordered a brake light switch for my Replica from Graham's. Original type switch and quick service.

David,
I hope so too, I most likely won't put that many miles on it and my riding time will most likely be up in less than 14 years. I was just trying to keep mine as original as possible. So far, not too bad, one switch, 2500 miles, twenty one years.

It turned up today.
After removing the current switch i found the new one to be to long.
However i can confirm that the original switch thread is 1mm pitch x 18mm long.
After putting the original switch back in, it now works!
No fluid was lost during the swap-over, so far simpler than i thought it was going to be.

Not being able to find one myself I picked a package of momentary push-button switches from radio shack(yes they are still in-business) pt#275-1548 & installed at bottom of break pedal. I removed the attached stop & screwed in place. works great. had 1 for years & it just went south....so I just popped in a replacement. they come 4 to a pack.
