Classic_Brushed_Oval (Small).jpg
I`ve got an old Fuel oval 450mm long stainless steel silencer much like this(i`ve also got a suitable link pipe)-

I`m now beginning to wonder if i`m going to gain anything by replacing the original exhaust with this one.
I don`t want an increase in noise or lose flexibility and spoil the pleasure i get when i potter around the country lanes and villages, so it is down to weight reduction.
Has anyone weighed the original so i can compare it to what i have here?

Which bike? If we're talking Skorpion then there really is a bit weight saving as I haven't got mine to hand but I know it's a proper weighty lump. Generally I can say it'll be at least a saving of 2kgs.

13.25 lbs (exactly 6 kg) is what the seller is saying that weighs-hard to believe!
Must borrow some scales and weigh what i was thinking of replacing it with.

Cheers

I weighed what i am proposing to put on and it weighs 4kg. Assuming what the Ebay seller of the original says is correct (It weighs 6kg) then that is a saving of 2kg, not as much as i thought it might be.

Cheers
