Has anyone actually managed to find replacement fork bushes that are currently available for the Marzocchi Magnum 45mm forks that are fitted Baghiras and Mastiffs? Information and/or part numbers would be much appreciated. I have tried various routes to find new guide and slider bushes, but so far have drawn a complete blank, apart from the availability of a set of 4 bushes that may or may not be the same from Gas Gas for over 100 quid. I say may or may not be the same because they won't give me any sizes for the bushes that they have available, so I would be reluctant to order them, as they wouldn't be refundable. Thanks for any help on this. Jon

The previous link was for one of the bushes, I think this is for the other:

Thanks for your replies, this is all the information that I have already found out including the same part numbers and Gas Gas part numbers. The ones being sold as suitable for Marzocchi 45mm and actually only suitable for upside down forks not conventional, and when I ask for dimensions they all come back incorrect. Marzocchi no longer supply parts for the Marzocchi Magnums, so the only hope is to find some old stock that are the correct sizes. I have even been in touch with K-Tech suspension, who are based quite near to me in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire Uk, and they have nothing the correct size, and they are aware of the supply problem and are considering having a batch of 300 of each bush manufactured for their stock, but this will realistically take months, if not longer. :-)

The actual bush dimensions are:
Guide bush: 50mm OD X 45mm ID X 25mm high/wide and 2.5mm bush thickness with Teflon/PTFE? lining to the inside surface.
Slide bush: 45mm OD X 42mm ID X 20mm high/wide and 1.0mm bush thickness with Teflon/PTFE? lining on the outside surface.

So far, non of the bushes that I can find are the correct dimensions, the closest on the Guide bush is only 15mm high/wide, which may have to do at a push, but I can't find anything anywhere near the same size for the Slide bush.

You have far more experience than me on all this stuff, but aren't these dimensions the same as you have quoted -

538044/A 45mm guide - 45ID x 25 x 2.5 Magnum 45/ Husky OEM
538045/A 45mm slide - 45OD x 20 x 1 Magnum 45

The exception is the ID of the slide bush which your figures say is 42mm. But if the OD is 45mm and the bush thickness is 1mm, does this not equate to an ID of 43mm?

You are right about my measurements, I will have to check again, but there is neither 42mm or 43mm available, if it is 1mm thick originally it must as you say be 43mm ID. The info on the Marzocchi moto spares formally Marzocchi.co.uk website is useless now, because you can't order any parts from them anymore, the info has been left up to help people, but there is nobody running the page, and the only old Marzocchi parts available in UK are bicycle fork parts.
I am glad you pointed that out to me, it is a mistake on my part, I have spent hours over the last week, trying to get to the bottom of these bushes, and I think I have probably confused myself with all the measurements on my sheets of paper with bush info etc. And I am no closer now than when I started lol. Those links I gave to www.motobikeshop.eu appear to use the original part numbers and seem to say the bushes can be sourced in 3-5 days, but the shop is located in Romania... Would be pretty risky, perhaps, ordering from them both from a financial point of view and from a quality point of view. Good luck with your search. Malc.
