ETZ125 Saxon Roadstar

Postby Kenney » Sat Mar 05, 2011 3:10 pm

Hi Guys
Last October I bought the above bike, it has been off the road for the last 4 years, been working on it since finally took it for mot last week, all went well, but when I arrived home their was oil all over the top of the crankcase, it was fresh oil so I must presume it was from the oil bango on top of the crankcase , cleaned oil up, restared the engine had it ticking over & revving the engine all seemed fine, (PUZZLED) ?
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance Kenney

maybe you or some one at the shop spilled some oil on it ...

check the transmission level and if it has an autolube system like my Yamaha 1966 ym1 had
check all the lines to tank and any overflow lines

also with the auto lubber check oil level daily so you dont burn up a motor
also stick with one brand of good 2 stroke oil mixing brands can some times clog things up
if things in the oil do not like each other and not mix or turn to GOO

if it uses the oil filler cup in the gas cap like some you may have spilled some

Hi Dave
Many thanks for your reply, did not spill any oil on engine, not used any oil in tank as yet still using original oil in the tank when bought, it was full, cannot see any splits in oil pipe, all being well I will take it to the midlands section meeting next sunday, but in the meantime I will have a few short runs around this week.
Cheers Ken
