Sorry to hear that ,

not sure what to tell you but I was wondering

did it break from long use or were you running the 150 kit?

hello

do a search on this web site for freewheel
and read the posts

this is ruff transulation from a german website
with a picture

Detail: * The free-wheel drum is responsible for the connection starter to the clutch. * If the starter runs, but the engine does not turn, the starter is not defective ...the clamps in the free-wheel drum! * In this case the complete free-wheel drum must be changed. Assembling instruction! The free-wheel drum sits behind the clutch, in addition the complete clutch must be removed. For the complete repair the free-wheel drum kit and new engine oil with filter are needed! Attention with order of the coupler cover seal! Old version without MZ emblem on the coupler cover new version with MZ emblem on the coupler cover

IT BROKE AGAIN

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Sun Apr 24, 2005 5:12 pm

THE FREEWHEEL IN MY RT125 DIED AGAIN
04 22 05
STALLED BIKE GOING UP A STEEP HILL OUT OF MY BACK YARD

MOTOR RAN BACKWARDS AGAINS THE STARTER BEFORE I COULD
GET THE CLUTCH PULLED IN AND NOW IT DOES NOT WORK

SO BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT RUN BIKE BACKWARDS AGANIST
THE STARTER AS THIS PART SEEMS TO BE ON THE WEAK SIDE

THE PART IS ON ORDER AND THE SAXON TOUR IS ON THE PARKING
PAD READY TO GO
AT LEAST THIS TIME I HAVE A SPAIR BIKE TO RIDE WHILE I WAIT
ON THE PART :-D
WILL UPDATE WHEN PART ARRIVES

sad news

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Wed Apr 27, 2005 5:46 pm

on tuesday morning i broke the same part in the saxon tour
now both bikes are down and the nissan truck is sick
good thing my mom lets me use here geo metro
my name is not lance and i never did like bicycles

me thinks the motorcycle makers need to rethink how they
hook up the starter to the motors
a friend keeps busting the one in his ktm also

freewheel

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Tue Jul 26, 2005 9:18 pm

sean
have a talk with your dealer part 3 on the parts page is a 2 way slip
clutch and it may be set too tight
he can e mail me at the address listed here on the site to talk about
what is going wrong in this part of the starting system
parts book page mo7 L7 item 3 3743050005 is listed as a
viberation damper it is also a 2 way slip clutch and if its too tight
the freewheel will blow when it does not slip at the proper time
ie when the motor stalls or runs backwards for some reason

ar dave wd8cyv(at)yahoo.com (at)=@

have fun finding the part mine was ordered april 22 2005 back ordered
7 days later still not here its july 27 2005 so mzna broke there record
of 94 days for a headlamp
