Mz Skorpion Traveller 2002 cylinder head removal

Postby silverfox » Sun Jun 07, 2020 9:58 am

Hi, I recently purchased a 2002 Traveller 660 Skorpion. I very annoyingly/stupidly drilled to deep when drilling out the seized exhaust stud and drilled into a cavity. So i need to remove the cylinder head which have never done before to investigate. Does anyone know if this can be done with the engine still in or is it an engine out job?
Also does anyone now of any downloadable manuals?

Thanks
Gareth

Engine out unless you cut out the top support - which I've done on two of my MuZ's.

The head is exchangeable with the Raptor 660 ATV commonly found is the USA.

NO really manual for engine removal by MuZ but you can get a XTZ engine manual in the Files section of several MZ related FB pages.

Hi Droy,

you say you have cut the top support, does thsi not compromise the strength?
