I'm glad you've seemingly got your problem solved.. So I take it you're still on your 'temporary' carburettor at the minute?
So now I suppose we need to really inspect that original carb? The needle is broken maybe at the tip? different lengths? ALL passageways (mainly the air I suppose) are definately clear etc? Intruiging.... and annoying.. but good that you found WHAT is the issue- and that you didn't give up.
